Twirling practice is normally held three times a week to allow each twirler to continue improving their skills.  Many twirlers also practice standard twirling drills making things like thumb twirls second nature.  Here are some of the standard skills new twirlers should practice often to enhance their twirling ability:

Thumb tosses
Hand over hand
Finger twirls
A variety of hand flips
Shoulder rolls
Neck rolls
Mouth twirls
One spins

If you practice these twirling skills every day you will be amazed how much your twirling skills will increase in just a few weeks!
